Born December 5, 1947, Ufa, BASSR, RFSR) — Soviet and Russian scientist, clinician, cardiac surgeon, X-ray endovascular surgeon. Author of more than 60 scientific works and 6 inventions. M.D., Honored Doctor of the Republic of Bashkortostan (RB), Chief X-ray Surgeon of the RB Ministry of Health, cardiovascular surgeon of the highest category. Member of the Republic of Bashkortostan Surgeons Association. Founder of the School of X-ray Surgery, he invented coronary artery stent placement, endovascular treatment of acute myocardial infarction and coronarography in the RB. Vyacheslav Stepanovich Buzaev performed the first endovascular surgery for congenital heart defects in children.
